Bible, The Book of Jonah 只有 4 个 chapters。  说来话长， 我就长话短说。

Jonah 为了逃避 上帝，被大鱼吞进了肚子里 3 天 3 夜。  Jonah 突然不想死了，他就祷告向上帝 忏悔。  上帝 又让大鱼把 Jonah 从它的肚子里吐出来。

然后，上帝 又要 Jonah 去传话。  传什么话？  

和 拿3:3约拿便照耶和华的话起来，往尼尼微去。这尼尼微是极大的城，有三日的路程。

 K 拿3:3So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey. 

N 拿3:3Jonah obeyed the word of the LORD and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very important city–a visit required three days. 

和 拿3:4约拿进城走了一日，宣告说：“再等四十日，尼尼微必倾覆了！” 

K 拿3:4And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. 

N 拿3:4On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed: “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned.”

• 大家不要轻看 The Book of Jonah，里面讲到有一些 神 的预言为什么没有实现？
• 神的话 已经传达给 Nineveh。  国王信了！  

和 拿3:5尼尼微人信服　神，便宣告禁食，从最大的到至小的都穿麻衣（或作“披上麻布”）。

K 拿3:5So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. 

N 拿3:5The Ninevites believed God. They declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth. 

和 拿3:6这信息传到尼尼微王的耳中，他就下了宝座，脱下朝服，披上麻布，坐在灰中。 

K 拿3:6For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. 

N 拿3:6When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. 

和 拿3:7他又使人遍告尼尼微通城说：“王和大臣有令，人不可尝什么，牲畜、牛羊不可吃草，也不可喝水。 

K 拿3:7And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: 

N 拿3:7Then he issued a proclamation in Nineveh: “By the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let any man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. 

和 拿3:8人与牲畜都当披上麻布，人要切切求告　神。各人回头离开所行的恶道，丢弃手中的强暴。 

K 拿3:8But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. 

N 拿3:8But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 

和 拿3:9或者　神转意后悔，不发烈怒，使我们不至灭亡，也未可知。” 

K 拿3:9Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? 

N 拿3:9Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.” 

和 拿3:10于是　神察看他们的行为，见他们离开恶道，他就后悔，不把所说的灾祸降与他们了。 

K 拿3:10And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. 

N 拿3:10When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened.

• 因此，神的话 一定要传达。  人们是否愿意悔改才是关键。  传福音的人一定要传悔改。  所以才有洗礼的仪式 。。。Baptism of repentance。

• Jonah 对 神 很不满。认为 神 让他丢脸。

和 拿4:9神对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻发怒合乎理吗？”他说：“我发怒以致于死，都合乎理！”

K 拿4:9And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

N 拿4:9But God said to Jonah, “Do you have a right to be angry about the vine?” “I do,” he said. “I am angry enough to die.”

和 拿4:10耶和华说：“这蓖麻不是你栽种的，也不是你培养的，一夜发生，一夜干死，你尚且爱惜；

K 拿4:10Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:

N 拿4:10But the LORD said, “You have been concerned about this vine, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight.

和 拿4:11何况这尼尼微大城，其中不能分辨左手右手的有十二万多人，并有许多牲畜，我岂能不爱惜呢？”

K 拿4:11And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

N 拿4:11But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?”

• 神 的仆人传达 神的话，是希望那些人可以避开灾难，而不是为了要让大家知道他们的预言很准，好让自己出名谋取利益。  
• 真假先知的差别就在这里。
